In-School Workshops

BHS Educators can visit your classroom and bring history to life through three History Hits the Road programs. The Common Core Curriculum for Social Studies practices employed include gathering, using, and interpreting evidence; comparison and contextualization; chronological reasoning and causation.

Then and Now - Introducing the Past and the Present

Students will be introduced to and enjoy learning about family life in the past. They will handle artifacts and toys, examine photos of their community and compare household items from years gone by with those of today. Several students will model period clothing.

  • Chronological Reasoning and Causation

School Days - Comparing Past & Present Classroom Practices
