Changing and permanent exhibits stimulate interest in the history and culture of northeast Queens. Many materials used are culled from the archival collection, and encourage conversation and inquiry.

Education
On field trips to the Castle, students are encouraged to think like historians as they interact with artifacts and documents from our collection and participate in fun, grade-appropriate activities.
Archives
BHS offers researchers of all ages public access to its extensive repository of archival materials that document the history and heritage of the communities of Bayside and Northeast Queens.
Community Activities
From neighborhood walking tours to weekly yoga classes, sewing group meetups, local history commemoration, and volunteer opportunities to clean up and beautify our natural resources, BHS helps bring our community together in friendship and stewardship.
Cultural Diversity
Bayside Historical Society explores and celebrates the cultural diversity of our town. Learn more about the experiences of immigrants in Bayside, through oral histories, family cultural traditions, student dance performances, and our Passport Concert Series.

The Castle is available for private rental. With a variety of beautiful spaces and rooms available for your exclusive use, the Castle is the ideal location for weddings, sweet sixteens, family celebrations, birthday and anniversary parties, reunions, and other special events.
